I'm inspired by the Green movement and this is what I have to say about it. I'm clueless when it comes to boy meets girl, and that's exactly how I feel about being GREEN. The Online Carbon Footprint
Why does reducing our carbon footprint have to be so complicated? My roommate ordered herself a new pair of UGG's online and although most of the packaging is recyclable, why even package it at all? Wouldn't the boots in the box be enough? Is packaging excessive? The plastic bag states that it's biodegradable, but that remains debatable...

Yes, it's very excessive. As I learned in Sustainable Works, we tend to be pacified by the knowledge that things are biodegradeable, yet unless we actually compost the stuff it will go into a landfill where it will sit for thousands of years. We're an excessive culture, aren't we?
